Designing an interface to create, modify, and view film records
Overview
Each year, IMAX distributes films in many formats and languages to theaters around the world. This requires accurate information and coordination between many people.
In this project, I helped design a new film tracking program. Using Adobe XD, I transitioned excel-based manual-entry spreadsheets to a web app with dropdown selections. I also created a pattern library to ensure consistency of UI elements.
Solution
In the end, I designed over 70 different screens and screen states.
Web App Screen Designs
On the left is an overview, showing almost every unique screen in the project. Each row represents a differentsection of the program and each screen shows a different version of that section. On the right is a close up of onescreen.
Style Guide
On the left is an overview of the whole project. Each column represents a section of a typical screen (header, body, footer, etc.) and contains all the different components that can be used in that section. On the right is a close-up example of the input field components in every variation.
